# MyLog Privacy PolicyEffective Date: May 22, 2026
Last Updated: May 22, 2026
Version: 1.0 (Player Launch)
> This policy covers the current version of MyLog: a local-only training journal for a single player. It does not collect your data or send anything off your device. A future update will add optional team features for coaches; when that ships, this policy will be updated and parents of players under 13 will be asked for consent before any data leaves a device. None of that is part of the app today.---Quick Summary (Plain English)We built MyLog to help young athletes log their own training. Privacy isn't a feature we bolted on — it's how the app works.- Your data never leaves your phone. There's no account, no login, and no MyLog server. Everything you enter stays on your device.
- We never see your data. We can't — it isn't sent to us.
- We don't sell data, run ads, or use your data to train AI. None of that.
- One-time $9.99 unlock, no subscription. The full player toolkit is a single purchase through the App Store. No recurring charges, no upsells.
If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and a real person will answer.---1. Who We AreMyLog ("MyLog," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Travis Mulcahy, the developer of the MyLog app (the "App") and the website at mylogapp.app and its subdomains (the "Site").You can reach us at:
- Email: [email protected]
- Mailing address: TBD
---2. How MyLog Works: On Your Device OnlyMyLog runs entirely on your device. There is no account to create and no cloud service behind it.- No account, no email, no login.
- Everything you enter — game logs, practice notes, exercises, velocity readings, goals, photos, and videos — is stored only on your phone or tablet, inside the App's storage area managed by your device's operating system.
- None of that information is sent to MyLog or to anyone else.
- If you have turned on your device maker's backup (for example, iCloud Backup in iOS Settings), your device may include the App's data in that backup. That backup is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms; MyLog has no access to it.
---3. Information We CollectMyLog does not collect any personal information from you on its servers, because MyLog does not operate servers that receive your data. All training data you enter stays on your device. The only ways information leaves your device are ones you start yourself:- Sharing a file you create. If you use the App's export or backup feature and then choose to send that file somewhere (email, Files, AirDrop, etc.), that file goes wherever you send it. MyLog isn't involved in that transfer.
- Sending us feedback. If you email us or use a "Send Feedback" action, we receive whatever you choose to write.
If you have turned on your device maker's standard, anonymous app-diagnostics sharing (an iOS Settings option), Apple may share anonymous usage and crash diagnostics with developers. That sharing is controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by MyLog, and is described in Apple's privacy documentation.---4. Information We Do NOT CollectWe want to be explicit, because it matters:- We do not collect your name, email, or any account information — there is no account.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not access your camera, photos, microphone, or videos unless you grant permission for a specific feature (such as attaching a video clip to a log), and anything you add stays on your device.
- We do not use advertising trackers, analytics SDKs that profile you, or social-media pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, ever.
- We do not use your training data to train artificial intelligence, ours or anyone else's.
- We do not run ads.
---5. In-App PurchaseMyLog offers a one-time purchase that unlocks the full player toolkit. The purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit).- Apple processes the payment. We never see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details.
- After a purchase, the App receives a confirmation from Apple that the unlock applies to your Apple ID. That confirmation is used only to enable the features you bought.
There is no subscription and no recurring charge.---6. Children's PrivacyMyLog is intended for youth athletes age 8 and older, and we expect many users to be under 13.Because the App has no account and sends no data off the device, MyLog does not collect personal information from anyone who uses it, including children under 13. There is nothing for a parent to consent to, because no information is gathered, transmitted, or stored by us.A child's training data lives on the device the family controls. Parents can review it on the device, export it, or remove it by deleting the App or using the App's "Clear Data" option. If you have any question about your child's privacy, email [email protected] and we will help.(If a future update adds optional team features that involve an account and the cloud, we will require verifiable parental consent before collecting any information from a child under 13, and we will update this policy before that feature is available.)---7. PermissionsThe App may ask permission to use your camera or photo/video library — for example, to attach a video clip to a training log. You can decline, and the related feature simply won't be available. Anything you do attach stays on your device with the rest of your data.---8. SecurityYour data is stored on your device, inside the App's protected storage managed by your device's operating system. Because we never receive your data, there is no MyLog account or server that could be breached to expose it. Keeping your device itself secure (passcode, software updates, and your own backups) is the best protection for your training history.---9. Apple Privacy Nutrition LabelApple requires every iOS app to disclose its data practices on its App Store page. MyLog's label is "Data Not Collected," which matches this policy: the App collects no data from you.If you ever spot a discrepancy between this policy and the label on the App Store, please email [email protected] — we treat that as a bug to fix right away.---10. Your Data, Your ControlBecause everything stays on your device:- To see your data: open the App.
- To keep a copy: use the App's export/backup feature and save the file wherever you like.
- To delete your data: use the App's "Clear Data" option, or delete the App. We can't delete it for you, because we never had it.
---11. Changes to This PolicyWe will update this policy from time to time — for example, when we add new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. If we make a material change (such as introducing a feature that collects data), we will say so clearly, and we will not apply that change retroactively to data that stayed on your device under this version.---12.
